My Enrichment Day

We had a fun-filled, thrilling Enrichment Day organised by my school on the 27th of April. It was a fantastic Enrichment Day when we were taught how to make our very own PET rocket. I partner Eugene. Both us combined our power and concentrated on the making of the PET rocket. We listened to the instructor teaching the hundreds of us in the hall how to make the PET rocket. It was actually quite an easy task if we listened to the small details attentively. We had to cut the plastic bottle and paste it on the other empty plastic bottles. We used tape to paste the portion that had been cut off on the other plastic bottle.

Next, after a short break, we assembled back in the hall again. The instructors then told us about the correct way to launch our PET rocket. Firstly, we had to place the rocket on the launcher, then, we were supposed to pump air pressure into the PET rocket and finally, we had to release the clog in order to launch the rocket. Soon after my peers had launched their rockets, it was Eugene's and my turn to make a hands on trial. Eugene pumped the air pressure into the PET rocket while I waited to release the clog. Moments later, I released the clog and "splash!" Water in the rocket splashed onto Eugene and me. We were all drenched from heads to toe but we were not angry neither upset with of wet clothes. We were happy as this was a new experience for us.

I felt that the Enrichment Day was a interesting one. It helped me increase my knowledge on the Singapore's air industrial as well as some of the Physics concept which would be useful in my studies. The Enrichment Day was truly a beneficial one to me. I hope such programmes would be introduced more often as I can boost my knowledge on more things so as to be equipped for the future.
